So this week has been pretty short, so not much to report! Eric didn't go to church this past week and we are really upset about that. We feel like we did everything in our power to get him there and then he cancelled at the last moment! It was so frustrating! But we will do our best over the next few weeks to get him all ready for baptism! So hopefully that goes well!
The Chinese learning continues to go, but sometimes I feel like I am hitting a wall. If anyone has any language learning suggestions, I'd love to hear them haha. But other than that, we are excited for this week and hope to keep teaching and testifying every day! I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to let everyone I see know about this wonderful message that we have! Even though most of the time they reject us, I still love the opportunity to share my testimony with those that we meet! We have a mission tour coming up and lots of training opportunities early on in this new year that I am really excited for. Other than that not much else to say this week! Happy new year to everyone!

Our week was pretty decent this week! We had a lot of appointments fall through and that was discouraging, but it was still really good! Haha yeah our new years was pretty standard. By standard I mean that no one wanted to meet with us cause its the holiday, so we were just contacting all day! But I'm actually starting to really enjoy contacting and just getting out in the sun and talking to people. We talked to a girl from gold coast the other day and I pretended to be from Taiwan the whole conversation. She didn't believe me and she kept asking questions to try and reveal my lie. Hahah I totally felt like Amulek ;) Except for I wasn't telling the truth hahahaha. But anyway, it was hilarious and I was able to withstand all of her questions until she started asking me math equations in chinese and I totally haven't studied that vocab yet. So I kind of lost it and she unravelled me. But it was still really fun and we got her phone number. Unfortunately she doesnt live here, so we may try and give her to the other Elders down in the Gold Coast. But it is those fun contacts for like 15 minutes in Chinese that just make our days so fun! So anyway, that's a fun little story!
Tanner got one?????????????? (he is talking about a speeding ticket) What the. Here I was thinking I was a sinner or something. Hahah well I still feel robbed of the experience. Tanner at least has had it once haha. But okay, I'm slowing down trust me. My goal is not to be like Elder Wood who got over 10 speeding tickets here (We still arent sure exactly how many) and he also got pulled over and let go by 3 different cops. So hopefully it isn't like father like son in that reguard hahaha. Anyway, hope it snows for you! I miss the snow! ;)
To Dad:
Hey Happy New Year! Eric didn't come to church this week!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH. He was all ready to come and we had two member fellowships reaching out to him (Plus us) And then on sunday morning we get a text that says hes not coming, he has stuff with friends. AH. I couldn't believe it. It's unbelievable. You're right about the powers of Hell. I hope we don't have to push the date back, but he needs to come to church and meet with us more now in order to be ready for the interview. It could be tough, but we have faith! He is really good and curious in all other aspects. He sometimes overthinks things I think. But it's understandable and we have really good fellowship!
I've been thinking of some things I can do in the New Year! I'm excited for 2016 too! Thank you so much for the support and the motivaiton! Some days are hard, but I know that I have a family that loves me and supports me, and that means everything! Love you and have a great week!
Love,
