Hello everyone!! this week was really good!! we got out on the streets and did heaps and heaps of contacting!! And we also did heaps of inviting! So now we have 3 invsitagors on date for baptism....Ding for the 15th and Peng and Feng for the 22....all of October! They still need to progress a lot before it can actually happen, but we know that Heavenly Father can answer their prayers!
This week it was great to have two Taiwanese companions in the same flat! I think they both really like talking to each other about Taiwan and I'm not complaining cause I get so many opportunities to practice Chinese! its a lot of fun!! Also, they are teaching me how to cook....its going to take a while, but I'm slowly learning!! Hahhaha I'm stoked I wont have to live off of 2 minute noodles after this!! Hahhaa anyway, we had some great miracles this week and we going to follow up on some of the potentials that we have found! We're excited!
So just a quick thought cause I've got to go....but recently my comps have basically been saying how awesome Taiwan is and sometimes I find myself wishing that I was there instead of here....but I have tried think more positive throughout the week, but nothing was really clicking....then I read this morning in 2 Nephi 5:16 (I think)...it is the verse where Nephi kind of says "so we built a temple like Solomon's temple....but it really wasn't that much like Solomon's temple because we didn't have the right materials...but actually we did our best and even though its not as good as Solomon's temple, it is still the best we could do for the Lord" thats just the paraphrase version....but I have thought about why that scripture is in there....like the BoM was abridged and only a hundredth of all of the writings could fit....so why did Mormon keep all of that?? why didn't he just say "I built a temple." that would have been fine...but as I read, I realized that everyone has their own situation and their own "land"....and it is there job to do the best they can with that land and serve the Lord in the best way possible....so even though I'm not in Taiwan, I now understand that this is the land I have been given and its my job to do the best I can! I was so grateful for that revelation and I am excited to continue to work and see miracles! I know that I am here for a reason! Have a great week!
